Asian Avenue - Universal Music

The album Krishan Maheson's Asian Avenue is been now bought by Universal Music and this is the first album to reach Universal Music from Sri Lanka. Well Bathiya N Santhush album Neththara Hindi version have already bought by Universal but the album lanch is still been pending.

Born in Colombo on May 4, 1983, Krishan Maheson entered the music industry at the age of 15 together with brother Gajan and formed Urban Sound, releasing their debut single “Smooth flow” in 1998, receiving airplay in local English radio stations the group was fairly recognized for their commercial hip-hop flavour. After brother Gajan joined BnS in 2001, Krishan teamed up with Iraj Weeraratne and revolutionized the local hip-hop industry with their hit single “Roots”.

After this Krishan was involved in the production of Iraj’s debut solo album and introduced Tamil rap to Sri Lanka. Their tracks “J-Town story”, “ran ran” and “ninda noyena handawae” were a phenomenal success. And now Krishan has started a solo journey as a Tamil rapper and song writer in this album Asian Avenue.

Asian Avenue comprises Tamil hip-hop in its purest form covering themes like the ethnic conflict, youth, love and drugs. A wide range of professional music producers, lyricists and vocalists have contributed to this project, so sit back, relax and enjoy this journey down Asian Avenue.

Music Production

Finally the new album is completed with Bathiya N Santhush. It took nearly three months to complete my song 'Player'. Well this will be the fifth album of Bathiya N Santhush along with me, Ashanthi, Randhir, Rajeev and rest of the Members. Infact this is the first Dance Album by them and people who don't know much about Sri Lankan Music Industry, please visit www.clublk.com and www.bnsmusic.com to know about Bathiya N Santhush. Well the BNS Site sucks because it duplicates contents and still in the construction process. I have sung two songs and arranged one track.

The album will be released in September under Sony and M-Entertaiment rights. Hope you people will love the album and all other four albums have made major hit in Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada and England. A new album will be also released in Mumbai with all the tracks in Hindi and some of the best people in the music industries are involved in the project. I am the offical Art Director for Bathiya N Santhush and they are my best buddies and we quite professional when it comes to work.

Krishan Maheson will be releasing his debut HipHop Album in September 2005 at Colombo and I am his offical Art Director for all his promotional. As a very close Friend of Krishan, I got the rights to promote his album through my blog and anyone who wants to know more please do comment. This guy is an amazing upcoming English and Tamil Rapper who have specialised in Free Style rapping too. The music and the tracks are composed by the leading composers in Sri Lanka Ranga Dasanayaka, Yohan, Iraj Weeraratne, Rukshan etc.

Senior Creative Specialist

I will be joining Liquidmedia officially from 01st of August 2005 as a Senior Creative Specialist. I will be responsible for Internet related design and technology. Currently I work for Excel Technology Inc., which is one of the largest Laser Manugacturing Company in the USA and I work as an Interaction UI Designer for the Web Development Division.
